Project "Capacity building on climate change for civil society organizations" is funded by the Embassy of Finland for two networks of Climate Change Working Group (CCWG) and Vietnamese Non-governmental Organizations and Climate Change (VNGO&CC). Center for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) is assigned by the two networks to manage and coordinate the project.

Following the success of the Sharing Workshop on Community-based Climate Change Adaptation Practices/ Models in December 2010, the project has a plan to organize another Sharing Workshop on Community-based Good Climate Change Mitigation Practices/ Models on June 23, 2011 at Nha khach Thanh Nien, Hanoi.

The workshop presentations address climate change mitigation practices and studies and assessments regarding climate change mitigation. Participants will have a chance to discuss related pressing issues to work out the upcoming action plan. Besides, the workshop will see the participation of various donors with a sharing session which is expected to bring useful information about funding opportunities and their strategies and intervention activities in the coming time.
