On 14 February 2012, VNGO&CC network hold a meeting, attended by founding members of the network including SRD, MCD, CERPA, CERED and CEACE, at the SRD's office. The meeting focused to review the activities of the network in previous years and to evaluate the Phase 1 outcomes of the project "Climate change capacity building for Vietnamese CSOs" funded by Finland Embassy. The participants also discussed about the development of the network and planning the second phase of the project.

In the opening of the workshp, Ms. Le Thi Phuong Thao from Finland Embassy said, "We highly appreciate the efforts of SRD uin developing and managing such a successful project. This is the highest amount of funding we have ever granted to a local support project, and the most successful project as well."

On December 5, 2011, a feedback workshop was held for the the "Capacity Building on Climate Change for Civil Society Organizations" project, funded by the Embassy of Finland. This workshop was an opportuntiy to received comments and feedback from stakeholders, for consideration and sumbission in the final evaluation report.

Under the Climate Change Capacity Building Project, a sharing workshop on good practices in responding to climate change was held on August 30 with the participation of representatives from different local and international non-governmental organizations, research institutes, universities, state agencies working in the field of climate change, and southern Vietnamese media.

On July 29 and 30, experts and resouces trainers were invited to a workshop to help edit the training curriclum.

Sharing Workshop on Community-based Climate Change Adaptation Practices was held in June 23, 2011 in Hanoi under the project "Capacity Building on Climate Change for Civil Society Organizations" by the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) in collaboration with mitigation sub-group of Climate Change Working Group (CCWG). The workshop is aimed at sharing climate change mitigation practices being implemented in the community with the goal of multiplicating these practices in the time to come.

From 6 to 8 June 2011, the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) worked in collaboration with the Centre for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD) and Ecolife Company to hold a study tour of good livelihood models in responding to climate change in Giao Xuan Commune.

From April 25 to 27, 2011, the Centre for Sustainable Rural Development (SRD) worked in collaboration with the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Dong Thap Province to co-host the training workshop "Raising awareness of climate change and responding measures" for Mekong Delta based civil society organizations in Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province.

From April 19 to 21, 2011, the training course on "Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Analysis (CVCA)" was held in Hanoi and Nam Dinh.

After the success reaped from the previous TOT training courses, the project "Capacity building on climate change for civil society organizations" organized a refresher TOT training course in Hanoi from March 24 to 26, 2011 for the project resource trainers and some outstanding trainees in the extended training courses.
