VNGO&CC has operation in all field related to climate change. However, the network lays stress on the following five special topics

- Sustainable rural development group
- Marine and littoral life group 
- Environment group
- Community health group
- Policy advocacy group  

Members involved in special topic groups will develop activities related to the field relatively categorized that their organization shows interest to.  

DETAILED ACTIVITIES

Since its establishment, VNGO&CC has actively participated in activities related to climate change in Vietnam, for example:

- Hold the workshop on climate change and Civil society organizations in Vietnam on August 09, 2010.

- Chair the discussion on climate change at the conference on "Contribution of NGOs to the socio-economic development of  Vietnam and mobilization of resources for the sustainable development of Ngo in Vietnam held by VUSTA on September 03, 2010.

- Cooperate with CCWG to develop and implement the project on Capacity Building on Climate Change for Civil Society Organizations funded by Finnish Embassy with the total amount of 322,000 EUR.

- Share information/experience related to mitigation of and response to climate change via website, email and network meeting and 05 special topic groups.

- Participate in local and international forums on climate change such as UNFCC, South East Asia, REDDnet and TWN.
